We arrived in Devon earlier today and headed straight to the beach, spending the afternoon exploring and collecting all sorts of interesting treasures for some seaside crafts. 🌊🏖️🐚✨

Mally was beside herself with excitement when her car crate opened and she realised exactly where she was. 🐾💛 She was such a good girl too, no seagull chasing 🐦 and no attempts to swim across the ocean! 🌊 She was perfectly happy sniffing, exploring, and taking it all in at her own pace. 👃🐶💨

As for Fern, she’s so easy-going that she doesn’t mind where our adventures take us, as long as she can keep a watchful eye on Cub. 👀💛🐾

Ash and Charlie,
Ash went to support Charlie when he did a disability football game in Portsmouth last week. She didn’t understand why she was the other end of the fence with daddy and Ollie though. After the game we went into Portsmouth town and sat in a cafe and had lunch she did so well for such a long day out.

We’ve had a busy few weeks including a trip to Devon. It was a beautiful week and we stayed in the middle of a forest. Maggie enjoyed lots of running in the woods, trips out for ice cream, trips to the beach and we hired a couple of dog fields whilst we were there so she could really have freedom to explore.

The first trip to the dog field was a bit traumatic, Maggie saw some water and jumped through a gap in a fence to get to it, however as we called her back she tried to jump through the same gap but obviously got the angle slightly wrong and became stuck in the fence! Iris was very scared but did a great job of keeping Maggie calm, Iris’ dad did some quick thinking, climbed over the fence and supported her back end which allowed her to stretch straighter and therefore thinner and we eased her out, we were very worried but Maggie shook it off and continued to run around at full speed enjoying herself!

The rest of the week was much less eventuality thankfully but filled with lots of runs, walks and cuddles ❤️

Penny

We’ve had a really nice few weeks. The boys are so happy to be back into their school routine, and we’ve also been enjoying the return of the sunshine ☀️

We’re really starting to see Ted grow in confidence and independence. He’s been wanting to hold Penny’s lead on walks, which is so lovely to see, and he’s also keen to give her the ball back when it’s playtime!He’s still not quite convinced about touching it because of the dog slobber 😂, but it’s a great way to encourage his independence and build his confidence.

We also celebrated two years since we welcomed Penny into our family, so I’ve included a little throwback photo from the day we got her. It’s crazy how quickly the time has gone by - it honestly feels like she’s always been part of our family ❤️

We’ve enjoyed some really lovely and happy walks together recently, which are always my favourite moments. Forever grateful for our Penny and the joy she brings 💜

🌊 It’s beach day! 🌊

The car is nearly packed, Cub is counting down the minutes, and Fern and Mally are beside themselves with excitement. They know an adventure is coming!

Today, we’re swapping four walls for open skies and heading off on another field trip to learn through play, exploration, and curiosity.

We’ll be hunting for treasures along the shoreline, spotting wildlife, listening to the waves, and discovering all the wonderful things the beach has to teach us.

Because the best lessons come with sandy toes, salty noses, wet paws, and a whole lot of fun. 🐾✨

Mission complete 🙌

A lot of love, patience, and an astonishing number of tiny beads went into creating this masterpiece, and wow, does it sparkle when the light hits it! ✨

The artist has now conveniently departed for band practice 🤷‍♀️leaving behind a glittering trail of runaway beads that have somehow reached every corner of the house. So while Cub is off making music, I’ll be starring in my own production: “The Great Bead Hunt” a thrilling adventure involving a vacuum cleaner, sore knees, and the discovery of beads in places beads should never be. 😆🎵✨

A frame left lonely, worn and old,
It’s story unfinished, its future untold.
But Cub looked closer and started to see,
Not what it was, but what it could be.🤔

💡 With a head full of plans and beads by the ton,
He knew this project had only begun.

🌈 Bead by bead and strand by strand,
Colour and magic flowed from his hand.

💎 Thousands of beads, all sparkling bright,
Turning the ordinary into pure delight.

⏳ Patience and time were part of the game,
As slowly but surely it shed its old name.

♻️ Because what some call junk and leave behind,
Might just be treasure to a creative mind.

🏆 And when this masterpiece is finally through,
Everyone will see what Cub already knew. 💖

The delivery barely hit the floor before the quality control team got to work! 📦🐾

Mally & Fern’s food from Jessica’s K9 Kitchen and Jack’s Pantry has arrived, and both girls are currently stalking the box, noses working overtime, investigating every delicious smell.
There’s beef hips, lung and liver treats for training, bone broth and lots of their favourite stew 😊
The packaging is all recyclable ♻️ which we love and Cub steals the ice packs for his Chiari headaches and hoards them in the freezer 🧊 there’s literally no waste 🙌
