A huge thank you as well to all our family and friends — including the KOTS family themselves — for all the support leading up to the event and throughout the journey.

And most of all, thank you to the Mental Health World Cup and Melp Foundation for the organisation, support, and opportunity.

After meeting Sophie from The MELP Foundation at Millwall F.C’s ground, The Den, where our amazing women had the opportunity to play in the very first Mental Health World Cup, we received an incredible email today.

We found out that barely any other team fundraised, making our women truly outstanding for raising such an amazing amount of money — and even winning a prize for doing so.

We are so proud of every single person involved and incredibly grateful for the support shown throughout.

This is only the beginning, and we now look forward to working alongside The MELP Foundation in the future 💙

While we were at the MHWC, we received the heartbreaking news that a body had been found in the search for a missing young man from Andover.
News like this hits hard, especially when it’s so close to home. It’s a painful reminder that so many people are struggling silently, often feeling alone in battles that nobody else can see. No one should ever feel they have nowhere to turn.

At KOTS, we’ve always said we are more than just football — we are a family. Our community is a place where everyone is welcome, whether that’s coming along for football, joining our games nights, chatting in the group, or simply knowing there are people here who care and will listen. You do not have to go through things alone. We’ve got you.

One of our biggest ambitions is to continue growing the support we can offer, including helping more people access Mental Health First Aid training through the incredible support of The Elliot Project. The more conversations we have, the more understanding we build, and the more lives we may be able to reach before it’s too late.

As a community — our community — let’s continue to look out for one another, check in on our friends, and break the stigma around mental health together. Sometimes a simple conversation can mean everything.

Rest in peace, Aidan 🤍
