ACE Andover Community Engage Andover Community Engage -
Here you can see details of all our projects without joining our groups.

Andover Community Engage is a Charitable Organisation for public benefit dedicated to creating opportunities for community engagement among the residents of Andover and the surrounding villages. All activities and projects are designed to maximise and promote positive wellbeing, to create lasting social connections, to relieve the symptoms of loneliness and isolation, and to redress some of the in

equalities that occur across each societal demographic. The cornerstones of the charity are those of meeting basic needs, physiological needs and providing the tools for self-fulfilment and personal growth. - Charity Number 1200890

Perhaps it is week one and breastfeeding is painful or week three and you are combi feeding and not sure how to manage the bottles, or month four and your baby is suddenly more unsettled at night or month 12 and you are returning to work and not sure how breastfeeding will fit... come and talk through your particular issue with any aspect of feeding your baby at any stage.
Video can be a great way of showing the breastfeeding counsellor the position you are using or talking through the issues with sleep, bottles, expressing. Feedback tells us that mums find online support with a specialised breastfeeding counsellor very useful and effective and it can help you access support early as you log on from home.
PHONE SUPPORT
You can also call the NCT infant feeding line any day of the year between 8am - midnight on 0300 330 0700. A breastfeeding counsellor is being paid to take your call between these times.
Our support in Andover and Basingstoke is supported by grants from The Lottery Community Fund

🌞 Heatwave Closure Notice 🌞

After careful consideration, we have decided to close all ACE services this week, with the exception of the Community Pantry and NCT Breast feeding support.

The temperatures expected over the next few days are simply too high for us to encourage people to be out and about unless they absolutely need to be. That applies to our visitors, our staff and our wonderful volunteers too.

The Community Pantry will remain open for those who genuinely need access to food and essentials and the lounge will be open tomorrow morning for parents needing support with breastfeeding but for everyone else our advice is simple:

🏠 Stay home
💧 Stay hydrated
❄️ Stay cool
☀️ Avoid unnecessary journeys where possible

We know many of our groups look forward to seeing each other each week, but your wellbeing has to come first.

The kettle can wait, the quiz can wait, and even the ducks will forgive us. 🦆😊

This week, staying safe is the priority.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Please keep an eye on our page for any updates.

Take care of yourselves and each other. ❤️

ACE Community Pantry remains open as normal for anyone who needs us.
