Meaningful connections are at the heart of everything we do at Koala, and that can look different for everyone.
One of our adults has been making this jigsaw with our volunteer Jenny for about 7 months. They have had many conversations, between themselves and other adults in the group, they have been frustrated but they come come back every week. The cheers when it was completed were loud!! Now to choose their next one!

Hello everyone, we need more small toy cars for our young people to play with so I thought I’d ask you if you have any outgrown ones before buying new.
They can be dropped off at the hub when attending a session, or text Becky C on 07470 122 581

Applications are open for an assistance dog from Together anything is pawsible.

They’re a wonderful charity and have helped so many young people to date ❤️

🐾APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN 🐾

An autism assistance dog can provide support in so many different ways, helping a child to feel safer, calmer, and more confident in everyday life 🐾

For many children, an assistance dog can help reduce anxiety and provide emotional regulation during overwhelming situations. Their constant companionship can bring comfort and reassurance both at home and out in the community.

Autism assistance dogs can also help with:
🐾 Encouraging communication and social interaction
🐾 Supporting emotional regulation and reducing meltdowns
🐾 Building confidence and independence
🐾 Improving sleep routines and reducing night-time anxiety
🐾 Providing deep pressure therapy and calming support
🐾 Helping with transitions and daily routines
🐾 Increasing safety awareness when out in public
🐾 Encouraging outdoor activities and family inclusion

Every child is unique, which is why each T.A.P assistance dog receives tailored training to suit the specific needs of the child they are partnered with ❤️

The bond between a child and their assistance dog can be truly life changing, offering unconditional love, companionship, and a helping paw through everyday challenges 🐕‍🦺

We currently have an 8-month-old Labrador, Jesse, looking for a child to help, please see the link below for her application form 🐾🐾

We often get asked what happens during an adult peer support session. This can look different for everyone. Some people prefer to chat in a group, some enjoy the quiet of the library, others like being creative or enjoying the moving and quiet sensory rooms.
