Amesbury History Centre was over the moon to host The Wild Block Co. on Saturday.

One participant, The Youth Fairy Salisbury , Melanie Beardsley said "it was such a calm, creative experience, learning the traditional art of block printing and taking time to slow down and be present. There was something so therapeutic about focusing on the patterns, colours, and process."

At the end of the workshop Melanie was
"Feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful for such a relaxing and enjoyable day." ✨

💚🤍 It's Wiltshire Day today....have a good one and visit your local history centre in Amesbury 🤍💚

Celebrated annually on June 5th, this special day commemorates the county's rich heritage and marks the date the 'Bustard Flag' was first flown in 2007. The alternating green and white stripes on the flag represent the lush grass of the downs and the chalk beneath, while the central Great Bustard (the world's heaviest flying bird) celebrates the successful reintroduction of the species to Salisbury Plain.
