🎶 On Wednesday night, our Scouts turned up the volume and got musical! 🎸 We worked on our Stage One Musicians badge, an award for everyone, no matter your musical skills. It was a night full of creative discovery! 🥁

We clapped along to drum beats, repeated each other’s rhythms, and even tried our hands at playing instruments with beginner music books. Turns out, everyone has a bit of musical talent, even on their first go! 🎵

Last night, a Russian missile hit the factory where NOSU produces Scout uniforms.

We lost the fabric that had already been purchased, as well as uniforms that had already been produced and paid for, but not yet collected.

This happened just before the summer camp season, and all the uniforms lost belonged to new Scouts who had recently joined NOSU. For many of them, this summer will bring their first real Scout camp experience.

We cannot ask families to pay for the same uniform twice, but at the same time, NOSU is not in a position to replace everything that was lost on its own.

So today, we are turning to our friends, partners, and the global Scout community for support.

We all know that a Scout uniform is more than a shirt. It is about belonging, dignity, and equality. It is the feeling of standing together as part of a patrol, a troop, and the worldwide Scout family.

Please help us give these new Scouts the start to Scouting they deserve.

With your support, we will produce new uniforms and get them to the Scouts who have been waiting for them before their first summer camps.

- €20 provides a Scout uniform for one Ukrainian Scout
- €40 provides uniforms for two Ukrainian Scouts
- €100 provides uniforms for five Ukrainian Scouts

As a small thank-you:

- If you donate €20+, you will receive a thank-you video from a Ukrainian Scout.

- If you donate €40+, you will receive a thank-you video and a handmade postcard created by one of our Cub Scouts.

- If you donate €100+, you will receive a thank-you video, a handmade postcard, and a special edition NOSU Scout scarf.

All donations will go directly towards producing Scout uniforms for new Scouts.

All donors will receive a clear report on how the money was spent and what their support made possible.

Tuesday night was a lot of fun as we hosted the Amesbury Girls Brigade! 🏐🔥 We kicked things off with an exciting volleyball competition, then gathered around the campfire for some fun games and delicious marshmallow roasting. What a fantastic evening!

What an absolute whirlwind of a Tuesday night! Here is what went down at Beavers:

🎨 Operation: Extreme Mask Making
We kicked off preparations for the Amesbury Carnival using brown paper, imagination, and what can only be described as a catastrophic amount of glue. To the Beaver who decided a full pint of PVA on a single sheet of A4 paper was "just a good starting point"—your masterpiece is currently load-bearing and drying in the hut. It may be ready by 2028.

🪵 The New Big Bosses - Lodge Leaders
Having recently saying a fond farewell to our older Beavers who swam upstream to Cubs, it left us with spaces to fill, we have had a major lodge reshuffle. Huge congratulations to our new Lodge Leaders: Bailey, Monty, Freddie, and Bohan! Lead wisely, boys (and please ration the glue).

⚾ Burnin' Energy & Big Welcomes
We wrapped up the night with a chaotic game of rounders to burn off some serious energy. The absolute highlight of the evening was officially investing our newest Beaver, Peter! Welcome to the pack, Peter—we promise it’s always this fun.

🏅 Golden Milestone
Finally, a massive shoutout to Badger, who was presented with their 5 Years of Service Award tonight! 🌟 Half a decade of patience, leadership, and surviving the PVA floods. Thank you for everything you do!

Tonight, our Cubs, leaders, and parent helpers have been buzzing with excitement as they prepare for our Jungle Book-themed float for Amesbury Carnival! With kits expertly crafted by Baloo, the Cubs have been busy creating their Wolf Cub masks using card, foam, and plenty of glue. Once dry, Baloo will add bold outlines and fastenings to make them pop on the float.

A big shoutout to our amazing parent helpers, Sharron and Di, who have been hard at work crafting enormous leaves to adorn our float. Our Cubs have truly shown their teamwork by joining in with painting, cutting, and gluing the leaves.

🌟 Tonight, our Scouts blended tradition with technology! 🌟 From mastering classic navigation skills to using the modern marvel of What3Words, they pinpointed locations with precision. 🗺️📍

With a dozen spots to discover and puzzles to solve on Amesbury Downs, it was a session full of fun and learning. 🎉👏
