Our Story
A warm welcome to the Amersham Playgoers Theatre Group (APTG). Whether you are interested in performing, directing, working behind the scenes or participating in our various social activities I am sure you will find us a warm, approachable and friendly group.
Playgoers are proud to be affiliated with NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association).
In 2017 APTG’s Marie won the NODA area award for Best Actress in Lady in the Van and in 2018 David Barrass won Best Cameo in Barefoot in the Park.
In 2012 The Flame Award for “Inspirational Contribution to the Pursuit of Excellence in Theatre”, was awarded to APTG for all our productions over the previous year but especially in relation to our production of ‘Happy Families’, directed by Peter Smith. It was the second time we won the award, after being lucky enough to win this category in 2009 for our production of ‘Dangerous Obsession’.
