It was in 1961 that the Museum's founder, Ted Reed, purchased a 47-key Marenghi: which sparked a passion for mechanical organs spanning over 60 years.

Very appropriate, then, that the collection is marking what would have been his centenary year with the acquisition of a similar Marenghi instrument!
