Sunrise to sunset. 72 holes. One incredible challenge. ⛳️ 💙

On 21st June, local supporter David Hollander will be taking on the ultimate Longest Day Golf Challenge at Harewood Downs Golf Club, playing an astonishing 72 holes in a single day to raise funds for two local causes, with our charity being one of the beneficiaries.

Starting at 5am and finishing well into the evening, David will tackle four full rounds on one of the hilliest courses in the Home Counties, pushing himself far beyond his personal best in support of making a difference in his local community.

The funds raised will help us continue funding life-changing equipment and projects for patients across Buckinghamshire.

A huge thank you to David for taking on this fantastic challenge and for choosing to support our charity. Please join us in cheering David on and, if you can, support his incredible fundraising effort!

Did you know that by 2040, nearly 1 in 3 Buckinghamshire residents could be living with or at high risk of cardiovascular disease.🫀

• By 2040, an additional 2 million people in the UK could be living with cardiovascular disease
• Around half of all heart attacks and strokes are associated with high blood pressure

Having access to the latest NHS diagnostic and treatment equipment can make a life-changing difference for patients and families across Buckinghamshire.

That’s why we are proud to support the development of a new cardiovascular unit at Wycombe Hospital, and why Nigel is continuing his incredible fundraising challenge to help make it a reality.

150km. 6 Ultra Challenges. One mission. 🏃‍♂️

This weekend, Nigel takes on the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge, tackling rolling hills, tough climbs and spectacular scenery, all in support of life-saving cardiology equipment for local patients.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring vital equipment closer to the patients who need it most. Your support could help fund earlier diagnosis, faster treatment and better outcomes for local families.

Last year, Claire took on a brave challenge, shaving off all her hair to raise money for Scannappeal and support local healthcare services. At the time, she never imagined how personal that cause would become. Following a recent breast cancer diagnosis and mastectomy, Claire has experienced first-hand the care from the Breast Unit at Wycombe Hospital.

Now, Claire is once again fundraising for Scannappeal, this time in support of our Mobile Breast Screening Appeal. Our £410,000 appeal will fund a new fully equipped mobile mammography screening unit for South Buckinghamshire. The new unit will bring breast screening services closer to local communities, making appointments more accessible for thousands of women and helping to save lives through earlier diagnosis.

Thanks to the kindness of a local donor, any donations made towards the Mobile Breast Screening Appeal at the moment will be doubled, meaning every £1 donated becomes £2, helping us make an even greater impact.

We are so grateful to Claire for her incredible fundraising efforts and continued support of our charity. Her commitment to helping local women access life-saving screening services is truly inspiring.

If you're able to, please support Claire's JustGiving fundraiser. Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring life-saving breast screening services closer to local women across South Buckinghamshire.

And with donations currently being doubled, your support will have twice the impact.

👉 If you’d like to support Claire and help make a real difference for local patients, please consider donating: https://www.justgiving.com/page/claire-mobile-breast-screening-appeal?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust , in partnership with the Chiltern Prostate Cancer Support Group, is hosting a free PSA testing event, made possible through funding from Buckinghamshire Healthcare Charity.

• Date: Saturday 20 June 2026
• Time: 8.30am to 1.30pm
• Location: Blood Test Area (Phlebotomy), Wycombe Hospital
• Entrance: Main entrance – volunteers will guide you to Phlebotomy
• Parking: Free parking available in Car Park A

This event is for men aged 45 and over, particularly those with a family history of prostate cancer or those from higher-risk groups, including African Caribbean and South Asian men.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, especially over the age of 45. 1 in 8 men will get it, and if you’re Black, your risk is double, 1 in 4.
PSA testing is a powerful tool in identifying potential issues before symptoms develop and for ongoing monitoring of prostate health. Regular testing can make a profound difference, offering the chance for preventative care and timely treatment.

A PSA test measures the level of prostate-specific antigen in the blood. Elevated PSA levels may indicate prostate cancer but can also be caused by other conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia or infection.

As we approach the end of Volunteers’ Week, we want to shine a light on how you can get involved and become part of our volunteering community.💙

Whatever time you have to give, we can use it. We simply would not be able to run many of our events without the hours generously donated by our volunteers. The level of commitment is flexible, whether that’s once a week, once a month or on an ad hoc basis.

There are so many different ways to get involved, including supporting in the office, helping at events, assisting at public collections, volunteering at pop-ups, or getting creative with baking, knitting, marshalling and much more.

We are hugely grateful for any support, whether it is regular or occasional, and we truly value the time, skills and energy every volunteer brings.

If you’re interested in volunteering and making a real difference, we’d love to hear from you:
