💜 That’s a wrap on Volunteers’ Week 💜

As Volunteers’ Week comes to an end, we just want to say another huge thank you to every single volunteer who gives their time, energy and enthusiasm to Scouts. You make everything possible. 💚

Volunteering isn’t just about giving back — it’s about gaining too. It’s the smiles, the laughter, the new skills, the friendships, and the moments where you see young people grow in confidence because of something you helped create.

✨ It’s rewarding, inspiring, and truly makes a difference — not just for young people, but for you as well.

To all our volunteers: you are incredible, and we couldn’t do it without you. 👏

To all our future volunteers: get in touch and find out more 👌

We’re continuing to highlight the different ways you can volunteer with us, seen as it’s Volunteer Week 💜 and next up is our trustees!

As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in making sure your Scout group or district runs safely, effectively and in line with charity governance.

You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to make key decisions, manage resources responsibly, and ensure everything is set up for young people to thrive.

💚 What’s involved?

Overseeing finances, risk and compliance
Supporting long-term planning and decision-making
Making sure the group is well run and sustainable
Working with volunteers to provide great opportunities for young people

✨ It’s a fantastic way to use your existing skills (or develop new ones!) in areas like leadership, finance, planning and teamwork — all while making a real difference in your community.

Flexible, rewarding, and hugely impactful — being a Trustee is your chance to support life-changing experiences for young people, even if you prefer to be out of the spotlight.

👉 Want to make a difference in a different way? Get involved as a Trustee.

It’s Volunteer Week 💜 and we are exploring some of the roles in Scouts

As a Team Lead or Team Member you’ll help deliver fun, engaging activities for young people while being part of a friendly, supportive team.

💚 Whether it’s getting stuck into games, helping on adventures, or just lending a hand, every moment you give helps young people grow and thrive.

Flexible, rewarding, and a lot of fun — why not give it a go?

As it’s Volunteer Week 💜 we thought it was a good time to highlight some of the roles our volunteers do.

Say hello to the role of Group Lead Volunteer – where no two days are ever the same!

Our Group Lead Volunteers support a brilliant team of volunteers in their group, help young people gain skills for life, and create amazing opportunities – from adventures outdoors to community projects.

💚 Lead, inspire and be part of something truly special, all while building your own skills and confidence.

It’s rewarding, it’s varied… and it’s a lot of fun!

Today we visited Dollar Scout Group at their Group Camp at the Barrwood.

Our DLV presented a Silver Chief Scour Award to one of the Cubs.

We were also there to surprise Andy Robertson, who has an amazing 40 years service and present him with his award.

The group celebrated Andy’s 40 years with cake, which was enjoyed by all.

Congratulations Andy
