With very sore feet but great spirits the guys completed their 100 mile Coastal Walk of the Isle of Man on Sunday. Huge achievement. Congratulations, you are all legends, raising awareness & money to aid the prevention of breast cancer & to help develop the facilities at BVCCโ˜•๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ INCLUSIVE COMMUMITY CRICKET DAY ๐Ÿ

A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky to, once again, host an inclusive cricket day supported by coaches from Lancashire and Cheshire cricket board.

We were joined by Amy and the gang from Link and Bloom to take part in some skills based practice across four stations.

The group practiced catching, throwing, batting, fielding and bowling skills with the help of the disability cricket coaches.

After lunch and cakes, the group headed back out for some fun team games to finish the day and, despite the drizzle, everybody ended the day with a smile on their face.

Weโ€™d like to thank Owen, Amlyn, Ben and Nev for coming down and supporting the group throughout the day, and also big thanks to our volunteer cricket coach, John, and BVCC volunteers, Pete and Gill.

The day was a huge success and we look forward to hosting another one in the future!

Day 2 & the weather isn't as pleasant so the walk will be tougher. Good luck lads & look after your feet๐Ÿ˜. Everyone is routing for you. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Message from Neil:

The Isle of Man strikes back! After lulling us into a full sense of security yesterday, the weather today is much more traditional Isle of Man.

Itโ€™s pouring down itโ€™s blowing a gale, weโ€™re on steep slippery paths and regretting a very big breakfast!

Remember to sponsor if you havenโ€™t had the chance yet, this really isnโ€™t very easy!

Our eco & wildlife garden is coming along nicely with the help of Rick & Marc from BVCC, Tom, Ellis & service users from PP. It takes a lot of time & hard work to plan & develop such a wonderful & beneficial space. We are facilitating community links, developing work skills & building confidence. Thanks to everyone involved. We are immensely proud of you all. ๐Ÿช๐Ÿฆ‹๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿชป๐Ÿฅ€๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿช
