We are absolutely devastated by the tragic loss of the three Royal Navy personnel who recently lost their lives.

For many of us, this news feels especially close to home. Over the past five years, "Lily-Mae", Lt Fisher has been incredible supportive of our unit. Through her motivational videos, regular messages, and genuine interest in our cadets individual journeys, she inspired countless of our young people and staff also found the time to keep us updated on her own career in the Royal Navy, creating a connection that meant so much to us all.

Lt Fisher was a remarkable force for good. Her positivity, encouragement, and unwavering support made a lasting impact on our Cadets, providing them with an outstanding role model to look up to. She was equally valued by our staff, whose lives she touched with her kindness and friendship.

The world is undoubtedly a poorer place without Chris, Lily-Mae and Owen. As a unit we will remain eternally grateful. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with their families, friends, shipmates, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you all for your service. 🤍⚓

This evening, the cadets conducted a point-to-point navigation exercise.

The first section was tasked with locating five designated points and transmitting accurate grid references over comms to the second section, enabling them to navigate to each location successfully.

At the conclusion of the exercise, both sections compared maps to confirm that all locations had been correctly identified and marked, ensuring accuracy in navigation and communication procedures. Reinforcing map reading, navigation, and communication skills under field conditions.
