All of us are amazed at the immense amount of support the entire community had given to our project. We couldn't be prouder of the community we live in and we hope our efforts reflect this. Here are some photos of the young people at work, we would love as many of you could come support us once again at our coffee morning TOMMORROW at 10am-12am, at the Alnwick Community Centre, howling lane, NE66DN1. Here we will show off the hard work of everybody and officially open the play area for the children at the community centre

We are a group of nine young people that are participating in NCS, the national citizen service ship, this summer. We have completed the away and home residential phases; we are currently in the midst of planning our social action project. We are very eager to make a lasting impact on our community, albeit big or small. Once we started researching, we realised that there is a lot of organisations available for a wide variety of issues; this made it very difficult for us to come up with an idea. However we were introduced to the ‘garden’ of the community youth centre we are based in, we then decided that we would like to make a garden space that reflects the hard work and passion of the workers at the centre. We want to be able to make a safe space for the young people. We will really appreciate any support from anyone in the community.
If anyone has anything from this list, old or new, that there are willing to donate:
• Wooden pallets
• Compost
• Cooking utensils
• Gardening utensils for children
• Sand
• Tarpaulin
• Old wellies
• Stone slabs
Also if anyone who is a gardener and knows anyone who gardens or just enjoys helping out and can space a couple hours from Monday the 20th August- 24th August, 10am-4pm at the Alnwick community centre, their help would be greatly appreciated.
