This 12-month post will work alongside Strive, the Alcohol and Drug Partnership and Housing Services, supporting adults to improve their wellbeing and connect with local groups, activities and community support.

Enough of women being made homeless because they escaped domestic abuse.

Enough of women being told to leave their own homes to be safe.

Enough of violent men being released on bail while women are left living in fear.

Enough of women having to look over their shoulder, wondering if he will come back.

Enough of women reporting violence and not being listened to.

Enough of women not being believed.

Enough of women having to prove just how frightened they are before their safety is taken seriously.

Enough of women being blamed for the violence done to them.

Enough of asking, “Why didn’t she leave?”

Enough of asking the wrong questions.

Enough of women being killed.

Enough of children losing their mothers.

Enough of families being left to grieve.

Enough of waiting until a woman is seriously injured, killed or homeless before her safety becomes urgent.

ENOUGH. IS. ENOUGH.

Scotland has changed the law so that, in certain circumstances, a social landlord can take action to remove an abuser’s interest in a tenancy and allow the victim to remain in her home.

That is the direction we need to be moving in.

Because a woman escaping domestic abuse should not have to lose her home to be safe.

She should not have to become homeless to be protected.
She should not have to become a statistic before people listen.

Listen to women.Believe women.Protect women.Keep women safe.

Enough of excuses.
Enough of delays.
Enough of women being failed.

We don’t need another woman to die before we decide her safety matters.

This isn’t about one woman.

It’s about every woman who has ever asked for help.
So don’t just like this.

💜 Good Luck, Moore Fitness! 💜

This weekend, the incredible team at Moore Fitness will take on the West Highland Warriors Challenge in support of Clackmannanshire Women's Aid.

They'll be walking an amazing 54 miles of the West Highland Way, from Inveranan to Fort William, in just 24 hours.

It's a huge physical and mental challenge, and we couldn't be more grateful that they've chosen to take it on to support our work.

Everyone at Clackmannanshire Women's Aid wishes the team the very best of luck. We know you'll dig deep, support one another, and inspire so many people along the way. 💪💜
