Join us on 5 November for the Stirling & Clacks Community Link Workers Event: Social Prescribing and Community Wellbeing!

Bringing together colleagues from the third sector, public sector and NHS, this event will explore the impact of Community Link Workers and how connecting people with local services and opportunities can improve wellbeing.

Through presentations, case studies and shared discussions, we'll explore what's working well, the barriers people face when accessing support, and how stronger partnerships can make a difference.

It's a brilliant example of how local organisations are helping tackle period poverty, promote dignity and make sure everyone has access to the essentials they need.

This week we're celebrating a special milestone as our Chief Executive, Anthea Coulter, marks 10 years with Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface. 🌿

Over the past decade, Anthea's leadership, commitment and passion for the third sector have helped shape CTSI into the organisation it is today. Through periods of change and growth, she has championed collaboration, supported local organisations and communities, and worked tirelessly to strengthen the third sector across Clackmannanshire.

Her belief in people, partnerships and community-led action has had a lasting impact, helping create opportunities for individuals and organisations to thrive.

To mark the occasion, the CTSI team presented Anthea with a gift basket filled with plants and seeds, reflecting the growth, resilience and positive change she has helped nurture over the last ten years.

Thank you, Anthea, for your dedication, leadership and continued support. We look forward to celebrating many more achievements together.

Are you a great listener who enjoys helping people and making a difference in your community?

CTSI has two exciting opportunities to join our team!

Community Connector (Adults/STRIVE) – Supporting adults to overcome challenges, improve wellbeing and connect with local services and activities.

Community Connector (Children and Families) – Working with children, young people and families to build confidence, strengthen connections and access community support.

Both roles offer a salary of £28,560, full-time hours (36.5 per week) and an 18-month contract.

We're interested in people with the right values, skills and experience, including voluntary and lived experience.

What makes a community feel connected – and why does that matter when we talk about poverty?

For , we’re sharing a new blog from Dr Nic, exploring community connectedness and CTSI’s involvement in the Centre for Collaboration in Community Connectedness (C4).

Poverty is about more than income. Our relationships, access to support, opportunities to participate and sense of belonging can all shape our experiences and wellbeing.

In the blog, Dr Nic introduces the work of C4 and explores why understanding and strengthening community connections matters for places like Clackmannanshire.

The Council has begun preparation of its new Local Development Plan (LDP). The LDP will set out a long term vision for how land in Clackmannanshire is used, developed and protected over the next 20 years. It will shape decisions on where new housing, transport infrastructure, green spaces and spaces for play are located across our county. Thank You for Joining Us!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Community Breakfast on Tuesday.

Our theme was "Caring Closer to Home", and we were delighted to welcome our guest speakers Elaine Burch from Re-engage and Laura MacPherson and Andrea Henderson from Stirling and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre, who shared valuable insights into the support available for carers and older people across our communities.

A special thank you also goes to Mickey Buns for providing another fantastic breakfast, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for attendees.

Guests also had the opportunity to pick up information from HSTAR Scotland - Healed Scars about their free period products initiative and take away a physical copy of our newly published Community Link Worker Report.

It was wonderful to see so many local organisations and community members coming together to connect, learn and share ideas. We look forward to seeing you at our next Community Breakfast!
