Last week it was our absolute pleasure to present Cllr Marlene Bennett M.B.E with Honorary Life Membership of Alfreton & District Heritage Trust in recognition of her service to our Town over the last 40 years both as a founder member of the Town Council since 1984, Town Mayor and Mayor of Amber Valley. Marlene's love for all things Alfreton absolutely shines through in the many organisations she supports and whilst this award may not rank up there with an M.B.E., it ought too !

Absolute delight to host Alfreton U3A on their visit to the Heritage Centre today. Thanks to the Heritage team for being gracious hosts and being there ! Looking forward to meeting up again in the future. Donations were very much appreciated especially the Lime and Lemon Jaffa Cake biscuits !
