We are currently looking to recruit additional Trustees to join the Board of The Deer Shed Charity.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of The Deer Shed and making a lasting difference to the lives of children, young people and adults with additional needs across our local community.
As we continue to grow and develop our services, we are particularly keen to hear from people who can bring skills, experience and enthusiasm to support our vision. You will be joining a Board of Trustees who are passionate, ambitious and committed to creating new opportunities and improving outcomes for the young people with additional needs.

What Does the Role Involve?
Trustees help provide strategic direction, oversight and governance for the charity. The commitment is modest, with a minimum of six Trustee meetings per year, alongside taking responsibility for a specific area of interest or expertise.
We are particularly interested in people with experience in:
Hospitality, catering, cafés or restaurants
Social media, marketing and communications
Fundraising and grant applications
Business development
Finance and accounting
Community engagement
One key area of responsibility will be supporting the development of our café and restaurant offer, working alongside the Project Manager to help create a successful and sustainable enterprise that provides valuable opportunities for the young people we support.
