Kildrummy Vintage Veteran Vehicle Club (KVVVC) started way back in 1958 as a result of an Aberdeenshire Landowner and old car enthusiast wanting to get like minded owners together for a social day with their vehicles. The idea continues today with an annual event and occassional other days out and runs. The club is fortunate to be twixt Donside and Royal Deeside, gateway to the Highlands.

Final details for tomorrow’s rally:

✔️ We plan to maintain the usual format as far as possible - parking the cars in rows, and ask that on arrival you follow the Marshal’s guidance. Look out for high vis jackets. There will be temporary speed restriction in force on approach to Kildrummy which we ask that you observe. We will also be encouraging vehicles into the field swiftly avoiding any backlog on the main road.

🎪 Entrants should access the field and will be directed to the parking areas before registration. Once on site and parked entrants may then sign in and be briefed on the arrangements. Can I ask that when you are safely parked up you sign in at the marquee.

📌 We hope that as many as possible take part in the road run. The route map will be shared at registration and the departure is 1pm for a run of approximately 1 hour.

🚗 We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 8th June from 0830 and would appreciate that you are on site by 1000 to allow the judges sufficient time to include all vehicles.

🔑 A reminder to all entrants who wish to be judged – can you please be available to open your vehicle for the judges as they will not be able to fully assess your entry otherwise.

Directions to Kildrummy Castle - AB33 8RA. National Grid reference: NJ 455 164

Travelling to Kildrummy – from the A944, turn at Mossat signposted Kildrummy and follow A97. You will pass the Kildrummy Inn on your right hand side. Continue past the old Kildrummy Hotel and the field is immediately on your right adjacent to the Historic Scotland ruin castle.

Finally, please take some spare cash if you would like to purchase some of our fantastic Kildrummy Merchandise.

Please help us keep our classic vehicles on the roads! The five-yearly National Historic Vehicle Survey urgently needs your input. Taking part in the survey is vital as it shows the crucial importance of our hobby and will help stop future legislation from preventing us using our vehicles. The survey only takes around 15 minutes (a little more if you have numerous vehicles) and it is your contribution to safeguarding our freedoms! The survey closes on 31 May, so please don’t put it off - ‘later’ will be too late! The survey is anonymous and your data is kept safe. Follow this link to the survey:

Please participate in the crucial National Historic Vehicle Survey and keep transport heritage on our roads. The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs will have to argue even more strongly for historic vehicles to retain their current access and fr

I just wanted to thank everyone who has already submitted their entry. We have a fantastic selection of vehicles already with over 100 entered! Lots of our regulars and many new vehicles too.

There’s still plenty time to get your entry form sent in. You can also submit your entry on-line at www.kildrummyrally.com if you pay by bank transfer. The programme cut off is 24th May.

We are keen to see motorcycles join us this year harking back to the early events. So if you have a bike or know someone who might be interested, please share this email.

Before our June rally there’s the Spring Run. I have attached details below for your information. You can also visit the web page directly, here: https://www.gvrs.net/ditday.htm

Hopefully we have seen the last of the frosty mornings and the salty roads!

Looking forward to seeing you in June.

Regards
David
