***ALEXANDRIA CC CORRESPONDENCE TO WDC LEVEN COUNCILLORS IN RELATION TO TOLL PATH/CYCLE PATH SAFETY BETWEEN BALLOCH AND RENTON AT RIVER LEVEN***

Dear Leven Councillors,

Following concerns from local residents, Alexandria CC are getting in touch about the route between Balloch and Renton. With the path used frequently by both cyclists and pedestrians next to the fast flowing River Leven, we are interested to find out who are the main body responsible of maintaining signage and designation to make it a safe place for all to use.

Your assistance in this matter would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Harry McCormack

***REFUSE BIN COLLECTION - RESIDENT FEEDBACK***

Alexandria CC want to hear views from residents about the effects of the three weekly refuse bin collection which was introduced on November 2025. This includes the limit of one refuse bin per household apart from exemptions.

Recycle bins collected twice in the same three weekly period.

Please use the comments with all relevant information collated for next meeting in August.

Thank you.

***ALEXANDRIA CC LETTER TO WDC COUNCILLORS, LOMOND WARD ON PUBLIC CONCERN ON ROAD SAFETY AT THE JUNCTION OF LOMOND ROAD, BALLOCH AND LANSBURY STREET, LEVENVALE, ALEXANDRIA.***

Dear Lomond Councillors,

Following a recent road traffic collision at the junction of Lansbury Street in Levenvale and Lomond Road in Balloch which left serious injuries including two pedestrians, local residents have requested to contact you on their behalf.

There is serious concern about the current safety of the junction due to difference of speed limits (Lansbury Street is 20 mph and Lomond Road is 40 mph) and the hill dip over the railway bridge on Lomond Road limiting driver vision.

Although there is a pedestrian crossing at the site, one suggestion to make the area safer is a potential traffic light system installed at the junction including crossing.

Alexandria CC ask you to take into this consideration in terms of public safety and prevention of future vehicle accidents.

Regards,

Harry McCormack
