Prom Project 2026 - Event 2 - last one this year.
The Prom Project.
The Prom Project is run by a local charity in Aldershot and offers very low-cost loans of stunning prom dresses and suits to Year 11 pupils in our Community. The aim is to make going to The Prom affordable and enjoyable for everyone. Whilst it’s aimed at families who might find this expense too much, we deliberately do not operate a referral system, so it is open to all.
The 2026 season will be our fourth year of running this project and we are looking forward to helping another cohort of local pupils enjoy Prom without breaking the bank and hopefully, in a more environmentally responsible way. We have over 300 beautiful dresses and suits available for loan. We also have a selection of shoes and bags. All our outfits are donations from our community, many brand new. For quality purposes, every item is checked and freshly laundered before each loan. We may also be able to offer alterations to improve the fit.
The loan of an outfit is an initial £50 to the family, £30 will be refunded once the outfit is returned. We retain £20.00 to cover the cost of cleaning, repairing and storing the outfit.
How it works – information for students
This event is being hosted in Partnership with The Source and Bikestart in their new premises at 258 Lower Farnham Road Aldershot GU11 3RB. Students will be able to browse and try on the outfits in a relaxed atmosphere.
To register interest in attending, simply book a free ticket and fill in a short form telling us a bit about the outfit required using this link (also on the flyer attached)

If you find an outfit you like at the event, pay the £50 fee (£30 will be refunded on return of the outfit) and take the outfit home with you - or if it needs alteration arrange a collection date.

We are delighted to be welcoming Professor Alistair Hall to talk to us about taking care of hearts this Thursday. Informal and informative, Alistair will guide us through how best to look after ourselves with plenty of time for questions so we really get the benefit of his expertise. No need to book, just turn up , you will be warmly welcomed.

Really delighted to be hosting the excellent Dr Carys Sonnenberg to talk to us about all things Menopause. This is not just for women though, men are welcome too and in fact encouraged!, as we learn together about Menopause and how it affects us all.
