A great 3rd Session at SNC 26, we heard from SASRA regarding the work of the Scripture Readers among our service personnel, we had the legendary William Mackenzie give the Christian Focus Publications book recommendations and Dan Peters brought God's word to us again as we continued to look at our series 'Temptations Jesus Faced' with a message from Matthew 16:22 entitled 'Far be it from You, Lord'

We recently said a sad goodbye to Scripture Reader Patrick Steen, but welcome into the work our newest Scripture Reader Gerhard Olivier, who will pick up the work from Patrick.
Gerhard shares, 'I am excited about increasing interest towards Christianity from the young troops and I am looking forward to helping them grasp the amazing reality of the gospel, equipping new believers to serve God, and supporting the Christians in the Armed Forces, to help them to reach greater levels of spiritual maturity.’

The SASRA team have wrapped up our time at the rehearsals of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. We've handed out hundreds of cups of tea and coffee and plenty of snacks, and we have been able to support and encourage the staff and performers here in Edinburgh.

The SASRA team are currently on day one of running a pop-up café for the performers and staff of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. We offer hot drinks, snacks, a space to rest and an opportunity to chat. Please be praying that our team of Scripture Readers would have good opportunities to provide support over the next few days.
