Sally became homeless at just 17 years old after a family breakdown left her with nowhere to turn.

Fortunately, through Step by Step's Supported Lodgings service, a new family was waiting to offer her safety and support.

Sally moved into her new home within a week of her initial assessment. Her hosts made her feel safe and welcome, and they immediately got on well. Sally felt she could confide in her new mentors and talk about her life and aspirations.

Step by Step's Rachel was a finalist in A Place to Be Proud of Awards, Basingstoke! 🥈

Our fab Supported Lodgings Coordinator was recognised for going above and beyond for young people, with the event organisers noting:

"What sets you apart is the way you refuse to let process get in the way of people; adjusting your hours to visit in the evenings, and personally driving a young person to football training to maintain their sense of belonging."
