Today we're in Alderney for our annual Alderney Flag day!

Make sure you come and say hello to our collectors, who will be placed at Victoria Street, Farm Shop, Jean’s Stores, Le Cocq’s Cutting and Le Cocq’s Le Huret. Donations by card will also be possible, and we look forward to seeing you there!

You can also come and have a look around The Lions’ Pride, which will be stationed on the apron outside Hangar Two from 2pm to 3.30pm. Please note that timings may change or even be cancelled if Air Search is called out.

We would kindly ask you not to bring any loose items, including food and drink, onto the airfield with you.

Press Release - The States of Alderney has launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking organisations interested in providing aviation fuel services at Alderney Airport.

The process seeks proposals for the provision of both Jet A1 fuel and Avgas, supporting the needs of scheduled commercial air services, emergency and rotary operations, and the wider general aviation community.

The requirement forms part of ongoing efforts to improve operational flexibility at Alderney Airport and enhance services for aircraft operators using the island. Currently, there is no fuel provision available at the airport, requiring aircraft to make alternative arrangements.

Re-establishing fuel services would support scheduled air services operating under the Public Service Obligation (PSO), improve resilience, and provide a valuable facility for visiting and locally based aircraft.

🛫 Ever stood at the airport watching your flight get delayed, cancelled, or "weather affected" — again?

Press Release - Alderney Runway Project Remains on Track for Delivery

The States of Alderney is aware of recent media reports concerning the Alderney Runway Rehabilitation Project and wishes to reassure the community that the project is progressing and remains on track for delivery.

While there has been some slippage against elements of the original programme, this relates primarily to delays experienced during the early stages of the project. Since that time, the States of Alderney has continued to work closely with the States of Guernsey and the wider project team to identify opportunities to recover time and maintain overall delivery objectives, including through measures such as early contractor engagement.

Importantly, progress on the project is being made and once contractors have been appointed, a firmer completion date will be determined.

The States of Alderney has consistently made clear that maintaining island connectivity and minimising disruption to residents, businesses and visitors will remain key considerations throughout the planning and delivery of the works.
