Morning everyone, hope everyone has had a fantastic summer. Little update from Aldbrough baby and toddler group.
As many of you know the group was able to run with the help of funding and ongoing fundraising. We always aimed to keep the entry cost low while providing a wide range of activities and good quality toys.
A massive thank you to all those that took part in fundraising for the group, we enjoyed a sponsored walk, had numerous raffles, donations of cakes and things to sell. More recently we attended a pre loved clothing fundraising night organised by Helen Wileman and Louise Burrell, we cant thank you enough. All of these helped pay for the ever growing running costs involved with the group.
Closing of the group meant we had to sort and organise all of our lovely toys and equipment. Donations of these were made to Aldbrough primary school, The orchard at Hornsea primary school, charity shops and playgroup families that attended. Money raised from everything that was sold went towards paying our outstanding costs that included rent.
We had an amazing response and ended up with £294.44 left over after we had settled everything. This has been donated to local group MMake it Shine SEN Project. An amazing charity that helped the group when we started up and throughout, the work they do is amazing.
