The latest escapade in the year was a visit, organised by Phil, to the Age Museum at Staverton Airport. It is unashamedly a presentation of Gloucestershire contribution to the history of the air industry in the county.

Conducted by incredibly knowledgeable volunteers we spend a couple of hours wandering among their exhibits and even experiencing life in the iconic Avro Vulcan and learned of th development of the first fully automatic landing system in the world. Huge thanks go to Phil and all the volunteers who made this such a great visit.

It was our chairman’s barbecue last Sunday and I would like to thank all our members; members of Tangent and guests for making it such a great afternoon. This was not a fund raising event so I am incredibly grateful for the charitable contributions you made. The Treasurer tells me circa £150 has been passed to him and will be sent on to Pancreatic Cancer UK in due course.

Also many thanks to Alcester Town Fc for their fabulous new facilities and to Andrew Cruickshank and Gemma for their fabulous catering.

Last meeting was a totally innovative local dairy farm who operate an automated self service milking system supported by robotic feeding snd p**p scooping. Members were completely captivated by the opportunity. Great night
