St. Andrew's Hospice St. Andrew's Hospice is a specialist hospice providing palliative care.

As a specialist palliative care hospice, we provide multidisciplinary support for patients, families and carers in the following areas:

Up to 30 inpatient specialist palliative care beds
Outpatient & Wellbeing services for specialist palliative care services
Community Support at Home Services
Grief & Bereavement Support Services
Consultant Led Medical Team

are for those living with life-limiting illnesses. Whilst we receive funding from NHS Lanarkshire and other sources, this only partially covers our running costs. Continued provision of these services is only made possible by the generosity and assistance of the people of Lanarkshire. St Andrew's Hospice became a limited registered charity (OSCR) (Charity No: SC010159) in April 2006, having previously been an unincorporated association, operating under the care of the Religious Sisters of Charity.

To celebrate our 40th Anniversary, we set the schools of North & South Lanarkshire a challenge: design us our very own St Andrew's Hospice mascot! 😀

Everyone rose to the challenge and we received some amazing entries but the winning entry was designed by Ayla Patrick, a pupil at St Aidan's High School in Wishaw.

We were delighted to present Ayla with her winners' certificate and introduce her to our brand new Hospice mascot, Andi 😀 Congratulations Ayla! 👏

We are delighted to invite you, your family and friends to be part of a very special Celebration of Life event taking place in the grounds of St Andrew’s Hospice this summer ☺

Join us for our annual Thanksgiving Service, to be held in the grounds of St Andrew’s Hospice on Thursday 20th August at 7pm. This event will bring together all members of our Hospice family in warm celebration of those who have passed away.

You can dedicate a Thanksgiving Thistle in the name of your loved one. Each name will be written on a Thistle which will be planted (if you so wish) in a beautiful display at our Hospice. Our hope is to create a beautiful display of many thistles, all coming together to create a beautifully vibrant scene 💐

"Myself, as a carer, I visit the Carers' Cafe to chat to other carers and can have a holistic treatment whilst there.

"It is a place we both look forward to attending and somewhere we both get support as we embrace the challenges of Parkinson’s ahead of us."
