🌟 Well done to our Juniors! 🌟

A huge shout-out to all our boys who took part in the 5-a-side football today! 👏 Although we didn’t finish in the top 2, every single one of the lads gave it their all, played with heart, and most importantly — had fun! ⚽️💪

It was brilliant to see such great effort, teamwork and smiles throughout the day. A massive well done to all the teams who took part — your passion made it a great event. 🙌

And a big congrats to 3rd Airdrie for coming out on top today! 🏆⚽️ 

Great job everyone — let’s keep that team spirit going! 💥💛

🏆 Scripture Knowledge Champions – Again! 🏆

We’re incredibly proud to announce that our Company Section have come 1st place in the Scripture Knowledge competition, successfully retaining the title! 🙌

The boys showed fantastic knowledge, focus, and teamwork — a real credit to themselves and to all the hard work they’ve put in over the year.

Well done lads, you should be buzzing 👏
And a big thank you to the officers, helpers, and supporters who make moments like this possible.

🎉 Happy New Year from 1st Airdrie Boys’ Brigade! 🎉

As we step into a brand new year, we’d like to wish all our boys, parents, volunteers, supporters and friends a very happy, healthy and successful New Year.

Thank you for all the support throughout the past year – from parades and competitions to badge nights, trips and everything in between. None of it happens without the commitment of our leaders and the backing of our families.

Here’s to another year of learning, fun, friendship and a wee bit of healthy competition along the way. Roll on all that 2026 has to bring!

We’ve shared a few updates recently celebrating some great Junior Section competitions, so it’s only right we finish the run of good news by sharing a brilliant result from our Company Section too! 👏

We’re delighted to say that our 1st Airdrie Company Section took 1st place in the Elementary Drill Competition 🥇

Elementary Drill sees a Junior NCO leading a team of six boys, giving instructions, keeping standards high, and showing real leadership throughout — and our NCO did exactly that. A fantastic display of confidence, control, and teamwork from everyone involved.

Well done to the NCO for leading from the front, and to the rest of the team for responding so well and putting in a cracking performance. You did the company proud. 💙💛

As always, a big thank you to all those within Airdrie, Coatbridge & District Boys' Brigade involved in organising and running the competition — these events don’t happen without a lot of hard work behind the scenes.

Outstanding effort all round! 👏

Drama at the Board Games Competition this morning! 🎲😅

Our 1st Airdrie Junior Section were initially announced as the winners (we were already practising our victory lap)… but after a recount, it turns out we actually came 2nd place! 🥈🤣

Still a brilliant result, and the boys took it all in good humour — proud of every single one of them for their effort, teamwork, and big smiles throughout. 💙💛

Huge thank you to the officers from Airdrie, Coatbridge & District Boys' Brigade who organised and supported the event. Even with the plot twist at the end, the lads had a fantastic morning!

Well done, team — silver never looked so shiny! 👏✨

So, if you were ever part of the BB (whether you still remember the drill moves or your knees start creaking just thinking about them), this is a cracking chance to reconnect. Whether you earned badges, made lifelong pals, or just turned up for the juice and biscuits, you’re welcome!

The Alumni Scheme is a great way to stay up to date with what BB is doing now, support the work with today’s young people, and maybe even relive a wee bit of your glory days — minus the blistered heels from new parade shoes.

🎉 We did it! 1st Airdrie Juniors take the top spot! 🏆💙

A massive well done to our 1st Airdrie Junior Section, who came FIRST in the Battalion Top Team Quiz! 🥇🎉 The boys absolutely smashed it with their teamwork, brainpower, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Big shoutout to all the officers and helpers who organised and ran the competition – you lot are the real MVPs 🙌 And of course, a huge thanks to all the boys across the Airdrie, Coatbridge & District Boys' Brigade who took part. Great effort, great fun, and brilliant sportsmanship all round! 👏👏

Bit behind on this one — apologies folks! The Top Team Competition took place at the end of last month, and we couldn’t miss the chance to share some great news!

A massive well done to our 1st Airdrie Company Section who finished 2nd overall! 👏💪
The boys gave it their all and did the company proud — brilliant effort from the whole team! 💙💛

A huge thank you to all the officers and helpers who organised the event, and to every boy across the battalion who took part. Competitions like this don’t happen without everyone pitching in, and it’s great to see so many young people getting involved.

Well done again, lads — we’ll be aiming for that top spot next time! 😉

Monday 27th October saw our first Company/Senior Section Battalion Competition of 2025-26 session.

The Top Team Comp, took place at Blairhill Dundyvan Church, with 9 teams of 4 Boys representing 7 Companies taking part.

Winners on the night with 103pts were 15th Coatbridge, 2nd with 100pts was 1st Airdrie and in 3rd place was 3rd Airdrie with 98 pts.

Rounds included, Musical Brothers, The War is over 1945, everything Apple, an observation round and of course a round on BB knowledge.

Thank you to everyone who came along and congratulations to the winning team bring presented with the trophy by Battalion President Derek Craig.

The Airdrie, Coatbridge & District Boys' BrigadeFun Run is going ahead — puddles, drizzle and all!
Our 1st Airdrie Boys’ Brigade lads will be out there giving it their all, proving once again that BB spirit shines brighter than the Scottish sun (which isnae saying much today 😂).
