We're looking for a part-time Assistant Shop Manager (15 hours per week) to join our friendly team at our Moreton-in-Marsh charity shop.

Working alongside the Shop Manager and our amazing volunteers, you'll help support the vital fundraising that enables Katharine House Hospice to provide specialist palliative care for local patients and their families. ❤️

❤️ Over £27,000 raised for local hospice care ❤️

Since joining our Accumulator Challenge in 2014, students and staff at Kineton High School have raised an incredible £27,782 for Katharine House Hospice.

Their creativity, enthusiasm and dedication have made a real difference to local patients and families, and we're so grateful for Kineton's ongoing support.

Kineton High School students raise over £27,000 for Katharine House Hospice

⛰️ Some challenges are worth doing twice. 🌄

After raising an incredible £630 for Katharine House Hospice in 2024, John Skinner has signed up once again for our Snowdon Sunrise Challenge.

This September, he'll be setting off in the early hours to climb Snowdon and watch the sunrise from the summit.

Reflecting on his experience, he said: "It ticks all the boxes for me... Out on a mountain, stretching yourself as a small pay-back for the huge amount of effort and dedication that the staff at the hospice put in."

🎉 Congratulations to our Head of Retail, Scott Bloomfield, on 20 years at Katharine House Hospice! 🎉

Since joining us in June 2006, Scott has played a pivotal role in our journey, helping to grow and lead our retail operation while serving as a valued member of our Senior Leadership Team.

From managing six charity shops to overseeing our online retail operation, he has been instrumental in raising vital funds to help us continue providing specialist palliative care to local patients and their families.

A respected colleague and friend, Scott is known for his calm approach, great sense of humour and questionable taste in Christmas jumpers. 😉

Here's a fun fact: Scott has only ever worked for two organisations in his entire career! After starting out with Tesco, he joined Katharine House Hospice in 2006 and has been making a difference ever since.

Thank you, Scott, for 20 years of hard work, dedication and commitment. ❤️

Can you spare a little time to make a big difference on Saturday 20 June in Shipston-on-Stour? ❤️

At Katharine House Hospice, our teams provide specialist care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones, both at the hospice and in the community.

To continue offering these essential services, we need your help.
We’re looking for friendly volunteers to support a street collection during the Shipston-on-Stour Proms musical fortnight, so you can support the hospice and enjoy some wonderful live music at the same time. 🎶

9.30 - 11am
11am - 12.30pm
12.30 - 2pm
2 - 4pm

As a volunteer, you’ll represent Katharine House Hospice, chat with members of the public and help encourage donations.

❤️ This week, we caught up with Claire from Banbury United FC, who signed up for Pace Around the World in memory of their friend Simon. ⚽

Claire shared: “The Banbury United family is still feeling the recent loss of our friend, Simon – ball boy, mascot and loyal home and away supporter. Simon spent many months in the care of Katharine House Hospice within the last year and we wanted to do something fantastic in his memory, and to give something back for the care he received.

“In the first few days of Pace Around the World, it felt like a very competitive team environment, which, as a sports club, we're fine with! However, as the days go on, the hamstrings are tightening up, and the weather is not quite as nice, we're probably all looking at that global target and realising we are going to have to perform as one team putting in an enormous joint effort if we are going to succeed in the challenge. We've got a lot of respect for our fellow teams.”

This exciting role will help grow support from our local community, businesses, fundraisers and event participants, helping to raise vital income for hospice care across our region.

We’re looking for someone with fundraising experience, excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for making a real difference within the local community.

📍 Full-time – 37.5 hours per week
⭐ Salary: £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience
