To be aware of if travelling to Kyle or Broadford...

🚫 Temporary road closure🚫

The U4948 Braeintra-Achmore-Stromeferry Road will be temporarily closed from 08:00 on Monday 2 March until 17:00 on Friday 13 March 2026 in the interests of safety during bridge repair works. Alternative routes are available and will be signed. Access will be maintained at all times for local residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians.

⛔ Temporary Road Closure ⛔
🚧 Auchtertyre-Strathcarron-Achnasheen road
📆 9.30am until 3.30pm on 1 May 2025.

The road will be closed commencing from its entrance to a property known as The Old School and extending in a north easterly direction, to its entrance to a property known as Sealladh an Eilein for a distance of approximately 260m, for Openreach to replace poles.

Local and emergency vehicle access will be maintained. Timed access will be available to all traffic.
