West Lochaber Hospital Transport Project
In December 2018, the areas of Ardnamurchan, Sunart, Moidart, Morvern and Ardgour were awarded £47489 from the Aspiring Communities Fund (ACF) with support from the European Social Fund (ESF) to develop and deliver a hospital transport service.
In response to this, the West Lochaber Transport Consortium was set up to work with the local community to find a viable and sustainable solution to the transport issues. The Consortium is made up of representatives from Loch Sheil Garage, NHS Highland, Voluntary Action Lochaber, Acharacle Community Company and Care Lochaber who are acting as the lead partner.
The project will run between now and the end of March 2020. Fiona Galbraith has been appointed as Project Officer and she can be contacted on [email protected] or 07494 174104.
