Meet Dave - he's a volunteer at Maundy Relief who is really going the extra mile! On Friday 10th July 2026 between 4am and 4pm he will be taking on an Ultra Cycle Challenge by cycling for 12-hours non-stop on a static bike outside Maundy Relief. Dave is passionate about raising awareness of mental health, recovery and the importance of community support and is raising money to support this. Our Food Pantry in Great Harwood opened its doors today for the first time and Hyndburn's Mayor, Mayoress and Town Crier came along to mark this special occasion. The Food Pantry at Trinity Church, King Street, BB6 7JN is open every Tuesday between 11am and 1pm so there's still time to get there today for a fabulous range of affordable fresh, chilled and tinned foods, baked goods, household essentials, toiletries and pet food.
