Here at Carers Link Lancashire we are always looking for ways to improve our communication with our registered carers.

If you are registered with us as a carer and you'd like to receive our magazine and monthly e-bulletin via email, with up to date information about our activities, training courses, peer support groups and general Carers Link Lancashire information, make sure that we have the correct email address to contact you with.

This week our team organised a fantastic activity for carers of someone with ASD and dementia. The group visited the Pendle and Craven Croquet Club in Earby, Lancashire for a lovely afternoon of croquet.

We support unpaid carers across East Lancashire in a variety of different ways including carer assessments, advice, peer support groups, activities and dedicated ASD and Dementia Support Officers. We have changed the date for our Food Safari daytrip to The Good Life Project in Nelson, and we have a couple of places remaining. Our trips are for carers registered with Carers Link Lancashire and you can book your place here: https://www.carerslinklancashire.co.uk/food-safari or email [email protected] for more information.

Our new date will be Wednesday 16th July, 10am - 12pm.
£5 per person.

Here's a bit of information about what you can expect on the day:

• Tour the growing spaces to learn how different fruit and vegetables are grown, harvesting and taste the produce as we go along.
• Enjoy a refreshment break, with tea, coffee and herbal teas available.
• Sew seeds for your own salads and herbs to take home and grow on your windowsill.

The Good Life Project is a fantastic place to visit, don't miss out and book your place!

During Pride Month we wanted to share the support we have for LGBTQIA+ carers.

We are partnered with Spectrum Inclusion to deliver a monthly peer support group for carers who identify as LGBTQIA+.

To finish our Carers Week 2026 celebrations our Participation and Engagement Team organised an Afternoon Tea and Boat Ride Activity for Carers.

Our Jubilee Garden Party was a great success yesterday, even though we had to move the party inside to avoid the rain. With a delicious buffet, amazing entertainment, and speeches from the Deputy Mayor, Becky our CEO, one of our trustee's Brian, and a couple of carers.

This year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary of supporting unpaid carers across East Lancashire, and what better time to celebrate than during Carers Week which this year is all about building carer friendly communities. Our café and community hub certainly showed that in practice yesterday!

Congratulations to everyone who won a prize in our Giant Jubilee Prize Draw, we will be in touch with the winners early next week.

Wow! Amazing news to find out we won the Social Media Champion award at the 2026 Hyndburn Business Awards Hyndburn Business Awards held last night. Our team enjoyed a great evening at the award ceremony and congratulations to all of the winners, and organisations and people nominated.
