📣 Lancashire County Council would like to invite you to their Lancashire Listens: The Big Conversation Event📣

🗓️ Wednesday 28th October 2026
⏰ 10am - 3pm
📍 Crossgate Church, St Mary's Street North, Preston

The event is part of the national conversation on the future of adult social care. It's an opportunity for you to share your views and shape the future of care and support provisions.

✔️ What matter most to people when they need care and support?
✔️ what helps people to live independently, stay connected, and live well?
✔️ What should care and support look like in the future?
✔️ What would make the biggest positive difference for people and families?

📣 We are opening a new charity shop and information hub in Bacup on 3rd November and we would welcome your pre-loved donations to stock our charity shop. Our shop will be set over two floors and we are looking for donations of Vintage items, clothes, homeware, books, DVDs and more.

We will be at the shop on the following dates and times to accept your donations:

🗓️ Monday 12th October & Tuesday 13th October
⏰ Drop Items off between: 9:30am - 3pm
📍 Carers link Lancashire, 14 Yorkshire Street, Bacup, OL13 9AE

As well as being a charity shop our new location will be an information and support hub for carers across Rossendale with a free community space available to book.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the support we offer to carers, we’re inviting you to take part in our Carers Annual Survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and will help shape the services, activities, and resources we provide in the future.

The survey covers:

• Services you’ve accessed
• Your satisfaction with support received
• The impact of your caring role on your wellbeing
• Activities and engagement opportunities
• Suggestions for improvement

It should take around 5–10 minutes to complete, and your responses will remain confidential.

We will be celebrating Carers Rights Day this year at Carers Link Lancashire with an information and advice day at our Accrington Community Hub. Carers Rights Day is an annual event and is about raising awareness of the rights of unpaid carers.

We will be joined by the following organisations on the day:

✔️ Cohens Pharmacy - blood pressure checks
✔️ Social Prescriber
✔️ Falls prevention
