🌿 A Fantastic Day Exploring Natural Dyes! 🎨

Today, the heritage group were delighted to welcome Textile students from St Christopher's Sixth Form for a hands-on session exploring the wonderful world of natural dyes!

The students had the opportunity to visit our polytunnel, where they saw madder growing in its full plant form 🌱. They then got creative, experimenting with stamps on different materials and comparing the results of ground madder dye with fresh roots harvested straight from our polytunnel.

It was a fantastic opportunity to explore traditional dyeing techniques, discover the beauty of natural materials, and see how plants can be transformed into vibrant colours. ❤️

A huge thank you to all the students for joining us. It was a brilliant session, and we’re so pleased everyone enjoyed it!

💙 People are more than the challenges they face.

Behind every referral is a person with their own story, experiences, worries and hopes for the future.

At Community Solutions North West, we take the time to understand the person, not just the problem.

That might mean helping someone access counselling, offering practical support during a difficult time, building confidence through mentoring, or helping someone find friendship and connection through our social groups.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. We listen, work alongside people and help them find a way forward that works for them.

Because sometimes, the biggest difference starts with someone taking the time to listen. 💙
