Action For Dementia

Action For Dementia We aim to raise awareness of Dementia, promote Dementia friendly communities&businesses; and provide information for people with Dementia and their carers.

We are a Charity founded through personal experience of caring for someone with Dementia and it's many issues. Our Trustees are Dr Catja Schmitgen, Mr. Justin Cotton, Mr Liam Hogan and Mrs Judith Tregartha, we plan to engage other Trustees as we grow. Our aim is to raise people awareness of Dementia, in fact we feel this is such an important issue we really want to shout about it. We are working a

longside other organisations/groups and services within communities and beyond, to bring about change that will ultimately help to improve the quality of life for people living with Dementia and the people who care for them. We are extremely pro-active and strive to engage with people to continually raise awareness and understanding of this feared, misunderstood and often taboo subject. There are approx 900,00-1million people in this country with some form of Dementia including early onset Dementia, we must take Action to provide services, activities and therapies to improve quality of life, reduce social isolation and create Dementia Friendly Communities and Villages. We hope you will support us in our efforts.
