We are coming to the end of our 6 month pilot and need your help to evaluate The FYP.

When we have finished evaluating the newsletter we will decide whether we will continue publishing The FYP.

Cost of living payment information:

This ‘Cost of Living Payment’ is for households in receipt of one of the following benefits or tax credits:

Universal Credit
Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Income Support
Working Tax Credit
Child Tax Credit
Pension Credit
It is paid by the DWP in two instalments. The first instalment of £326 is paid to a single person or couple entitled to one of these benefits on 25 May 2022 (called the ‘first qualifying day’). The qualifying benefit does not have to be in payment on 25 May. If benefit is put into payment later and the entitlement period covers 25 May, the claimant will still qualify. The first payment will be made between 14 June and 30 June.

People qualifying via tax credits need to have a tax credit claim covering at least 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022 and must receive at least £26 in tax credits (either type) in respect of the tax year 2022-23.

A ‘Final Cost of Living Payment’ of £324 will be made later in the year, in “winter 2022”. The qualifying day for this second payment has not been disclosed, but the Bill specifies it will be no later than 31 October 2022. The date will appear in future regulations.
