Southmoor Baby and Toddler Group is looking for a couple of people to take over the day-to-day running of the group from September as some regular volunteers will be leaving. There are also opportunities to take on behind-the-scenes/operational duties for the group.

Getting in touch now gives 4 weeks before we break up for summer for you to volunteer with the group in a relaxed way; having others who've had experience show you what needs to be done. It would allow you to see first-hand if you enjoy it, if it fits around your other work/life commitments and whether you want to continue volunteering in September and in which role.

If you think you could/would like to help please get in touch ASAP by coming along to one of our group sessions (Friday's 10am - 11.30am Southmoor with Kingston Bagpuize Village Hall) and talking to our volunteers or emailing: [email protected]

Last week's sunshine allowed for some impromptu pavement art :-) This week we are asking if anybody has any NEW small toys they could donate to us for our Village Fete lucky dip. Party bag toys are ideal for the over 3's dip and small rattles, balls, cuddly toys etc for the under 3's dip. Anything you have that is surplus to requirements would be greatly appreciated, bring it along on Friday. Thanks.

We're back this week with some more indoor/outdoor fun; so no matter what the weather you can still have a good time.

Plenty of space and toys for the little ones to run around and play and teas/coffee's/a chat in the kitchen for those who need it!

Some of our activities are designed to advance your kids fine motor skills.

Using tweezers to pick up the bugs is a great way of developing the pincer grip they'll need later for writing.

Love creating the different 'zones' for your little ones; car corner, baby playmat area, kitchen/shop area, crafting area, climbing/balancing toys and of course our outside area for ride-ons.

Amazing what we achieved last week with just a few volunteers. Thank you to the regular members who stepped up last week to help pack away. It was a lovely sunny day with plenty of toys inside and outside. Hoping we can get some more members coming along - it's nicer when it's busier - please do tell your friends and share on facebook.

We are short of hands this week; especially for set up and pack down. There are lots of tasks including setting up the tea/coffee area, putting out adult chairs, putting out the toys, cleaning, washing up, sweeping floors and putting away toys. If anybody wants to lead the singing session so that Anna can concentrate on getting things into the cupboard that would also be great.
