This team!!!! The u14s. Another absolute nail biter for them against Summertown.
Gary is definitely going to lose the rest of his hair too 🤣🤣

Going into the game with the bare 11 was always going to be tough. But with James on the receiving end of a high boot to the eye that may require surgery 10 minutes into the game and other injuries and knocks picked up through the game they found themselves playing with 8 for large parts of the game.

We went 1-0 down and just before half time zachary levelled the score at 1-1. After the break we came out firing and found ourselves 3-1 up from another 2 goals from zachary. Tired legs started to show and Summertown dragged themselves back into it to level the tie at 3-3.

With a lovely ball from rio, zachary raced in behind and slotted the ball past the keeper to make it 4-3 with 5 minutes to go.. superb refereeing too as the flag went up contentiously shall we say but the goal was awarded..

Last 5 minutes the team gave everything and hung on to claim another 3 points.

Absolutely astounding effort from everyone.👏

We would like to wish Jimma a speedy recovery too after the nasty cut he recieved and hope to see him back soon.

Where to start.... what an absolute barnstormer of a game this morning for the u14s down at ferry walk.

Down to 10 men after 5 minutes from a red card. To finding themselves 2 nil down inside 15 minutes. 2 goals from zacahry leveled the scores but with Donnington having the player advantage they found the net another 2 times to lead at the break 4-2.

Goals from james and leon then leveled the tie. And with 6 minutes remaining Donnington took a 5-4 lead.

We instantly replied with Ruby finding herself unmarked at the back post and with 15 seconds to go. Saxton won a free kick and pumped it into the box. Its dropped to the one person you want it too and with the last kick of the game zachary slotted the ball past the keeper for his hat trick to win the game 6-5 and book our place in the quarter final of the cup.

What a performance from team. Great character and attitude shown today. Really proud of you all.
