Το εργαστήριο απευθύνεται ιδιαίτερα σε όσους βρίσκονται στα πρώτα στάδια της συγγραφικής τους πορείας, σε οποιαδήποτε γλώσσα και εστιάζει στο ευαίσθητο θέμα της σύγκρουσης. Κάθε συμμετέχων/ουσα είναι απαραίτητο να στείλει εκ των προτέρων ένα ποιητικό κείμενο (ποίημα ή ποιητική πρόζα) έως 500 λέξεις, μεταφρασμένο στα αγγλικά. Το εργαστήριο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην αγγλική γλώσσα. Συντονίζει η διευθύντρια του LAF, Αλεξάνδρα Μπούχλερ, με τη συμμετοχή του ποιητή Γκάιαθ Αλμαντούν και του συγγραφέα/μεταφραστή Ρίτσαρντ Γκουίν. Απαιτείται εγγραφή, με σειρά προτεραιότητας, για μία από τις 10 διαθέσιμες θέσεις.

Το Φεστιβάλ Βιβλίου Χανίων πραγματοποιείται από τον Δήμο Χανίων, σε συνδιοργάνωση με την Περιφέρεια Κρήτης, και συγκαταλέγεται στα σημαντικότερα γεγονότα για το βιβλίο στη χώρα, τοποθετώντας δυναμικά τα Χανιά στον ελληνικό και διεθνή πολιτιστικό χάρτη.

‘Rising and Sinking Like Mountains in Streams’ brings together poets and artists from
Vietnam and the UK to develop a collaborative performance based on observing and listening to two rivers: the Red River in Hanoi and the River Wye in Wales. Following a short residency on Wye the artists performed at the Hay Festival. With Nhã Thuyên, Montenegro Fisher, Wanda O'Connor and Lowri Hedd. With thanks and gratitude to British Council Vietnam and the Programme.

The Hay Festival work-in-progress performance that emerged from the short, intensive residency, part of ‘Rising and Sinking Like Mountains in Streams’ project supported by British Council Vietnam was mesmerising! 🔥Diolch yn fawr - cám ơn - gracias - thank you to Montenegro Fisher, Nhã Thuyên, Lowri Hedd and Wanda O'Connor! 🌱🌱💦💦
