This time next week the layout should be all set up and ready to go. I am really looking forward to this one as it’s the one show my Dad was determined to do with the layout and it was booked for last years show but had to withdraw.

So this year we are putting it right and hopefully it will be well received. Also if Bachmann want to lose anything on the layout they are more than welcome 😉

That’s the end of show one. What a weekend it was, show was well supported by the public and plenty of interest generated.
Thanks to Barry and Penarth Model Railway Club - B&PMRC for the invite, my dad loved this show so it was fitting his creation made its debut there.
To Rob from N Gauge Society - Newport, South Wales Group for helping all weekend, and for the benefit of his partner who follows us, he definitely did NOT visit the traders once 😉
To all the other traders, operators and the public we spoke to over the weekend thank you for taking the time to stop and admire us and kind words about the layout. They all mean a lot.
There is now a couple of months break before our next show, this is where some of the jobs we have will be done to make us ready.
So thank you once again and hope to see you all at Meridienne Exhibitions LTD N gauge show TINGS in September

Weekends are traditionally a quieter time on the railways. Especially freight branch lines so today saw a steam hauled railtour venture down to the cement works, fortunately we had a photographer on hand to capture the run

Great first day at Barry and Penarth Model Railway Club - B&PMRC show, some good comments received on the layout. A couple of minor issues reared their heads but nothing a few nights work won’t sort in the next few weeks.

Do come along this weekend, it will be a great show and of course you can say you saw Weargate make its exhibition debut under the new ownership and it’s first ever 2 day show

Too hot to go to the beach? Come and Visit the Penarth Model Railway Exhibition this weekend! Various model railway layouts in action, and plenty of trade stands if you fancy expanding or starting your own collection! We have a variety of refreshment stalls on site and a ride on train outside!
