We are absolutely delighted to announce that Connor Goode, ‘Our Chippy’ makes his First Team Debut TODAY against Wattsville FC! 👏🏻

Connor joined the Bluebirds back in 2021 as an U11 and has since cemented his place between the sticks, developing into a fantastic young goalkeeper and becoming the backbone of his team in one of the most important positions on the pitch.

Today marks another proud moment for everyone involved with our club and is a perfect example of what our vision for youth development and progression is all about. 💙

From our Youth system to the First Team! 🔥

Connor represents the next generation of Bluebirds coming through our youth system, and we couldn’t be happier to see him take this next step in his football journey.
he’s the first of many more young Bluebirds to follow in his footsteps! 👀 🫶

Chippy, you’ve earned this opportunity through your hard work, commitment and dedication over the years. Enjoy every minute of it, mate! 👏🏻

Keep working hard, keep believing in yourself and in the club’s vision, and never forget that you’ll always be part of the Bluebirds family! 💙

UNDER 6 GIRLS 💜

Time to play catch up and share some recent photos. It’s been a hectic, busy but most of all fun few weeks.

The girls have enjoyed every minute and as you can see from the photos they’ve somehow remained divas even while playing football 😂

UNDER 6 GIRLS 💜

With everything now set up on and off the field we can start sharing the football journey that our under 6 girls are on

A massive thank you to Peter Keeling for sponsoring the girls kit and giving them the opportunity to play football. Really means a lot from everyone at the club 👏🏻💙

💙⚽ U13's SPOTLIGHT – MEET THE TEAM ⚽💙

First up in our new Meet the Team series is Ieuan Davies #11! 🔵

We asked Ieu our Starting Five to get to know him a little better… followed by the Chaos Five, where the answers are completely down to the boys 😂👀

Four years a Bluebird, versatile on the pitch and apparently not always quite as steady on his feet! 🤣⚽

Rhian Davies

Have a read and get to know Ieu 💙🐦

Bluebirds u12's Vs pentwynmawr u12's
2-2 Well done boys! ⚽️💙

Apologies for the late post. Saturdays game was once again a tale of two halves. A very disappointing first half performance, but a moment of magic from Rashid dragged us back into the game.
A stern talking to at half time, along with a few slight positional changes, seemed to do the trick and the boys came out with a much improved performance in the second half. We could have scored four or five goals before Keegan's equaliser, which shows just how much we improved after the break.
So, a massive well done to the boys for turning that match around and battling throughout even when we weren't at our best. That character and determination will be important as the season progresses.
We did agree as coaches that we'd award just one Man of the Match per game this season, but today we simply couldn't split Keegan and Rashid! Both boys put in tireless performances, topped off with a goal apiece. Well done, lads! 👏
I'd also like to give a special shout-out to Jake, who I thought was fantastic once again. He's composed on the ball, takes a touch and looks for the pass rather than rushing things. A massive thank you again to all the parents for the support on the side 💙⚽️

🏆⚽ PLAYER OF THE MATCH – TOM FLOWER ⚽🏆

A huge well done to Tom Flower, our Player of the Match yesterday! 👏💙

Tom put in an excellent performance from start to finish, with a superb goal in the first half. He really dug in for the team, worked hard all over the pitch and made some brilliant plays, showing great determination and composure throughout. A fantastic all-round performance and a very well-deserved Player of the Match! 💪⚽💙

🍔🍟 A big thank you to Buns & Crusts Co Ltd, who are kindly sponsoring our Player of the Match awards this season, with each winner receiving a burger and chips! We really appreciate your support of the boys and the team. 💙

And, as always, a massive thank you to all of our brilliant sponsors:

The support of local businesses means so much to the team and helps the boys continue doing what they love every week. ⚽💙

This week the score sheet didn’t reflect the effort the U14s Abertillery Bluebirds Youth put in.
Deserved something from the game but we continue to learn from it and move on.

This weeks Player of the Match is William Clark for his all round performance throughout the game 💙

BIG WELL DONE TO ALL OUR U8s

It wasn’t one of our best weekends of football, but the boys dug deep, battled right until the end and gave 100% as always.

🌟 MASSIVE WELL DONE TO OUR PLAYERS OF THE MATCH — WILLIAM & THEO! 🌟

William gave it absolutely everything today. He was everywhere on the pitch, putting in some brilliant tackles and showing some amazing dribbling skills. What a shift! 💪⚽️

Theo really showed up today too, making some fantastic runs and creating chance after chance. We honestly lost count of how many shots he had! Unfortunately, he just couldn’t quite find the back of the net today.

Well done boys — keep working hard and keep enjoying your football! 💙⚽️👏
