Aneurin Leisure Sports Development They reach out to provide a variety of programmes to help people have healthier lifestyles and improve health and well-being.

This is the Blaenau Gwent Council’s dedicated "Inspire" service which helps you keep informed and find out what Sport and Active Recreational activities and opportunities are on offer in Blaenau Gwent. The team includes three diverse areas of sport, physical activity and inclusion that may be of interest to you;

Active Living
The team delivers the National Exercise Referral Scheme (NERS). Active

Communities
The team assist sustainable community sport and physical activity in Blaenau Gwent. The team are simply about getting you healthy, more active, more often. Active Young People
This programme looks at working with young people between the ages of 5 and 19. It is made up of three Sports Wales programmes – Dragon Sport, PE and School Sport (PESS) and the 5x60 initiative.

Priority places go to adult and young disabled people, with the opportunity to experience fully inclusively delivered trampolining, wheelchair rugby, golf and more!

A huge thank you to representatives from the many different sports clubs who attended our Club Development Evening at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre yesterday.

A special thank you to representatives from Sport Wales, Sported and Disability Sport Wales for sharing their knowledge, expertise and information on current and upcoming funding opportunities. It was great to share information on the Foundations Framework and Community Kit Room, alongside valuable advice on what makes a strong funding application.

We hope you took away some valuable information to support the continued development of your club.

Diolch arbennig i gynrychiolwyr o Chwaraeon Cymru., Sported a Chwaraeon Anabledd Cymru am rannu eu gwybodaeth, eu harbenigedd a manylion am gyfleoedd a***nnu cyfredol a rhai sydd ar y gweill. Roedd yn wych rhannu gwybodaeth am y 'fframwaith sylfeini' a'r 'Ystafell Gitiau Gymunedol', yn ogystal â chyngor gwerthfawr ar yr hyn sy'n gwneud cais a***nnu cryf.

The Community Kit Room is once again benefiting from a fundraising campaign led by Suzy Lloyd and her colleagues at Cardiff-based financial consultancy company, Quantum Advisory. 🙌

Following their successful Olympic-themed campaign in 2024, Suzy has returned with a new initiative linked to the 2026 Commonwealth Games, encouraging colleagues to donate and support the Community Kit Room.

Suzy, travelled to Abertillery Sports Centre Community Kit Room, where the initiative first began, to meet the team and see first-hand how donations are helping local people access sportswear and footwear in the county.

We would like to thank Suzy and everyone at Quantum Advisory for their continued support.🤝

Mae'r ystafell gitiau cymunedol unwaith eto yn elwa ar ymgyrch codi a***n dan arweiniad Suzy Lloyd a'i chydweithwyr yn y cwmni ymgynghori a***nnol Quantum Advisory, sydd wedi'i leoli yng Nghaerdydd. 🙌

Yn dilyn eu hymgyrch lwyddiannus â thema'r Gemau Olympaidd yn 2024, mae Suzy wedi dychwelyd gydag ymgyrch newydd sy'n gysylltiedig â Gemau'r Gymanwlad 2026, gan annog cydweithwyr i gyfrannu a chefnogi'r ystafell gitiau cymunedol.

Teithiodd Suzy i'r ystafell gitiau cymunedol yng Nghanolfan Chwaraeon Abertyleri – lle cychwynnodd yr ymgyrch yn wreiddiol – i gwrdd â'r tîm a gweld drosti ei hun sut mae rhoddion yn helpu pobl leol i gael gafael ar ddillad ac esgidiau chwaraeon yn y sir.
