Another wee area planted up earlier today, by Alison and Isobel. Braving the rain, they ventured out and refreshed the 4 big planters at the Black Watch monument. They’ll be enjoyed by many tourists and residents over the coming months. Thank you ladies, I hope you’ve dried off by now.

We were out planting up the pots in front of ABC nursery at the Aberfeldy Business centre this morning. A wee burst of colour as you come into town.

The bird sculpture opposite the caravan park and tubs at the Black Watch monument will be planted up in the coming days.

Hanging baskets were delivered yesterday, they look fantastic, they will be going up round town on Monday.

Feldy in flower meet the second Sunday of the month, at 11am to tidy various planted areas around town.

Today we spent an hour in the lower birks doing a bit of weeding, then headed round to the putting green to blitz the weeds in the Inner Wheel bed, now it’s ready for a good layer of bark to keep on top of the weeds.

If you are a resident, regular visitor or business and can spare an hour, once a month to help keep our town looking good, please do come along. We’d love some help, if you would like to get involved please drop us a message or follow the page.

Next event Sunday 12th July at 11am. We’ll confirm where we meet nearer the time.

Bruce has been busy, he’s got “Davie the train inspector” all planted up, ready for the baskets to appear middle of June. Lovely to see a wee flush of colour on the way into Appin Place. He’s also given the information board a right good clean in the lower Birks. You can actually read what it says now.

Thank you to everyone who visited the thrift shop and plant sale today, you’ve helped raise a load of cash to fund our planting round town and hanging basket display for 2026 season. We’re
grateful to everyone who’s been sowing seeds and tending plants for the last few months, and none of this would happen without the help of our tiny group of volunteers / committee. 🥳🤗🌸🌱😁

Feldy In Flower will be in the Thrift Shop from Sunday 3rd May, we will also have our yearly plant sale in the gazebo outside on the Sunday.

The summer hanging baskets and many planted public areas around town are all tended by a tiny group of 9 volunteers. The committee raises funds each year to pay for the supply of the hanging baskets, planted public areas, and the summer watering schedule. Paying for the plants and watering comes to a considerable amount each year.

We are very grateful to everyone who comes along and supports us. It really does help to make the town look cheery all year round for residents, business and visitors to the town. We are always on the look out for people who would like to offer an hour a month to help tend the planted areas. Please get in touch if you are keen to offer a hand. No gardening experience required.

We are sharing our week this year with Riding for the Disabled Association, who will take over the shop on Wednesday 6th May

Sad to say it’s that time of year again and the hanging baskets have been removed, ready for next year. Thanks to everyone involved again this year, keeping the town so floriferous. 🤩

We’re a tiny group of volunteers and really could do with a few more pairs of hands. It’s not often, not hard work, fresh air and outdoors, great atmosphere, enjoy a cup of tea after while admiring your work, and it’s always lovely to meet new faces.
