Cove In Bloom

Cove In Bloom A local group of hard working volunteers dedicated to making cove look beautiful all year. We hope you find something of interest on our website. A CRY FOR HELP!

We are always looking for good ideas to improve our home village, so if you have any ideas please share them. We also need volunteers to help look after the beds and planters. We would like to allocate a bed or planter to one or two dedicated people who will keep an eye on that one for us, weeding, watering, or whatevering. If we can do this perhaps we can get a competition going between you all -

an award for the best maintained bed or planter? What do you think? If you have a spare ten minutes or so every couple of days and would like to look after an area for us, get in touch. The more folk helping the less everyone has to do! you may not be able to give your time, but you may well be able to help us - at no cost to yourself! Cove in Bloom needs perennials and shrubs for various areas around Cove and Altens. You may have Cotoneaster seedlings that have planted themselves, or Heucheras that need splitting, Crocosmia that has overtaken a border, in fact, any perennial or shrub that you do not want. WE CAN USE THEM - contact us via the website, email, or phone, and we will come and collect them from you. It may seem to be a little bit of nothing to you, but to us it is a great BIG help!

Cove in Bloom received money from the Coastal Communities Fund for the purchase of 2 picnic benches & 3 planters. The benches are already sited, one at the “puppy park” and the other beside the heritage stones (just behind Altens houses on the coast road).
We hope you all enjoy using these when picnic weather arrives.

Thank you to Kenny & Graeme for your hard work in helping to install the benches.
