🌟 Young Judges’ Competition 2026 🌟

Are you aged 10–25 and interested in developing your judging skills within the Welsh Pony & Cob world? The Welsh Pony & Cob Society Young Judges’ Competition will take place on Sunday 9th August 2026 at the Royal Welsh Showground as part of the WPCS 125th Anniversary Show.

The competition is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience, build confidence, develop your knowledge of Welsh breeds, and meet like-minded young enthusiasts. Whether you are new to judging or already have some experience, we would encourage you to get involved.

Members of the North of Scotland Welsh Pony & Cob Association are asked to contact us in the first instance. We are keen to support our young members with applications, preparation, training opportunities, and advice ahead of the competition.

Medal Show Important Information

- Please enter from the Turriff show carpark gate- not through the main showfield- what3words- majors.gravy.postage

- The showfield will open at 8am! Please do not arrive before then!

- All rings will start judging at 9am sharp!!
Ridden classes will not start before 1pm.

- There will be organised runners heading through the car park field between 10:30-10:45. Classes at the time will be held until runners are through. Be aware for everyone safety.

- Please tidy up after yourself and your horse. Pick up all horse p**p and absolutely DO NOT muck out trailers in to the showfield, we have to leave it tidy so any mess left some of us have to tidy it up before we get home.

- Big Daddy's Food Van will be on site 😋

⏰️Heading to our show? 🐴 Please help protect the health of all horses attending by practicing good biosecurity: avoid sharing buckets or equipment, keep ponies at a distance from each others, monitor your horse for signs of illness (and don’t attend if any concerns), wash hands regularly, and ideally keep vaccinations up to date. ⏰️

A little prevention goes a long way in keeping our equine community safe!
