RHS Chelsea Flower Show ft. 🥃💐🌸🪻🌺🌼✨ad

I’m just back from a whirlwind trip with the team at Fettercairn to London to see their beautiful Angels’ Share Balcony Garden at this year’s show. Working with , the garden pays homage to the distillery itself, trying in copper notes, cask staves and a water feature to emulate the water ring at the distillery. The fauna used are all either native to the area of the Cairngorms or could survive there, and it’s lovely to see how they have played around with colour, again linking it back to the brand.

I also got the chance to smell ’s very own rose variety, sampled some fabuloussss drams and enjoyed having a nose around all the different gardens and stalls. Honestly there is so much going on!

This was my first time at the show and lemme tell you, when they say some people go all out with their outfits, they mean it.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many flowers on one place, and I’m not sure I ever will again. The smells - WOWZA. Sensory overload in all the best ways.

And while bumping into wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card, I was over the moon to meet him. I mean he’s gardening royalty! What a charming, lovely man. We must do it again sometime soon, Alan x

Some postcards from our trip to on the outskirts of Oban, with incredible views of the Isle of Mull ✨🏰🌲🦌

This visit was all about slowing down with intention at this historical Scottish house and slowwww down we did.

Glencruitten House is where the charms of nature and stories of Scottish folklore and mythology intertwine. It’s a mystical place hidden in the greenery of the glen and is perfectly positioned for those looking to explore Oban on the west coast.

With beautiful villas that come with their own private saunas and hot tubs, magical rooms in the main house, and a range of nooks and crannies to explore throughout the estate, you’ll be forced to change gears here.

Experience dramatic sunsets from the terrace overlooking Mull, and if you’re lucky the resident alpacas and peacocks will come and say hello in the gardens.

There is an on-site restaurant and the library (which I kept calling the whisky bar) upstairs in the main house, is somewhere you’ll want to get lost in a book, or a dram or two. This is also where you’ll find an original 1920s organ which is on full display and a unique characteristic of this charming house.

Although I have to admit, I am desperately missing my pre-bed hot tub sesh and morning sauna ♥️

Paying the Konik Ponies in Aberdeenshire a wee visit 🐴

No trip to Loch of Strathbeg is complete for me without seeing this furry gang.

Did you know the herd plays a vital role in wildlife conservation? Because they really do (more info in the pics).

And it was insane the number of birds we spotted during our few hours in the area. There’s two hides to sit in, but I always prefer sitting closer to the water. A swan landed right in front of us and we spotted so many herons flying overhead. So cool.

Not to mention the hunners of toads in the pond. Just watch where you’re walking because they tend to hide in plain sight on the path!

This place is swimming with wildlife just now, you just need to pause for a second to see it.

Keep an eye out for the deer as well because we spotted a few out grazing in the fields close by. V cute.

And as beautiful as they are, dinna pat the ponies - they can bite.

📍Loch of Strathbeg, Aberdeenshire
🚶🏻‍♀️Mainly accessible - the facility is accessible but some of the paths may be a challenge with a wheelchair or buggy (best to check in advance for your needs)
💸 Free to visit but donations welcome

The puffins have returned to Aberdeenshire ♥️

I absolutely love this time of year when wildlife returns to our shores and nature comes alive again.

I took this video last year in July, so there were quite a few puffins at Bullars of Buchan by then, but I have already been up to see them this year and there are already quite a few.

If you do go to visit the birds, please do be mindful of them and keep your distance.

They are easily spooked and only lay one egg per couple, so baby puffins are super special. They also burrow in nests on the cliff side and if you get too close they can abandon them, which is really damaging for the breed’s success.

Grab binoculars for safe viewing, and take your camera with you because they do like to show off sometimes.

There are also loads of other seabirds at Bullars of Buchan and Fowelsheugh, where you can mainly see puffins in Aberdeenshire, so keep a look out for the variety of birds that will also be nesting and gliding off the cliffs. It’s pretty spectacular.
