Youth staff would just like to put out a reminder to all youths and parents that we have an absolute zero tolerance policy in regards to abusive and threatening language towards staff and fellow youths.
Over the past few months staff have put up with continued unacceptable behaviour and language towards them. If this continues, it may result in sessions closed, a loss of use of the service and in cases calls to the police. The youth hub has to be a safe space for the whole community.
This is not something staff take lightly or something they ever want to have to do but the wellbeing of young people and staff within the project needs to be considered.
Thanks, youth team.
