🌟 Volunteer of the Month | September: Michelle 🌟

❤️❤️Sometimes, growth begins with simply taking that first step outside your comfort zone. 💙

🤝🤝When Michelle first joined Mamacita Foundation less than three months ago, she was someone who spent much of her time at home. Today, we are seeing a beautiful change.

❤️❤️Through volunteering, Michelle has become more active, engaged and confident. She has found a sense of purpose, connected with people and become an important part of our charity shop team, helping to keep the shop floor running smoothly.

🤝🤝In such a short time, volunteering has made a meaningful difference in Michelle’s journey. And now, she is not only out and about making a difference, she is our Volunteer of the Month for September! 🌟👏🏿

❤️❤️Michelle, we are incredibly proud of the growth we have seen in you. Your time, care and commitment do not go unnoticed, and we are so lucky to have you as part of the Mamacita Foundation Charity & Reuse Shop family.

🤝🤝To all our volunteers, your journey may look different, but every hour you give matters. Sometimes, volunteering is not just about what you give to others. It can also be about discovering what you are capable of yourself.

❤️❤️Well done, Michelle! Keep shining. You are our September star! 🌟💙

🌟 OUR YOUTH VOLUNTEERS ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE 🌟

❤️🤝Sometimes, you don't need to give a young person all the answers. You just need to give them a space to contribute, the confidence to share their ideas, and the opportunity to be seen.

❤️🤝Meet Erin, one of our amazing youth volunteers from St Margaret’s, who comes in to volunteer with us at the Mamacita foundation Charity Shop each week. 💛

❤️🤝Last week, Erin came into the shop and saw our ongoing sale design. It was handwritten, but Erin saw an opportunity to take it a step further.

❤️🤝She went back to school, got creative, and came back with something fantastic that could help us make our sales more visible, both inside and outside the shop. 🥹👏🏾

And honestly… this is what youth involvement looks like.

It is not just about volunteering.

❤️🤝It is about giving young people opportunities to develop confidence, creativity, communication, employability skills and the belief that their ideas matter.

Erin didn't just make a design.

❤️🤝She saw something, thought about how she could improve it, used her skills and brought her idea back to the community.

That is the power of youth placements.

❤️🤝That is the power of creating spaces where young people can learn, contribute and grow.

❤️🤝And most importantly, it reminds us that our young people have so much knowledge, creativity and potential to give back to their communities. 🌱💛

❤️🤝At Mamacita Foundation Charity & Reuse Shop , we are proud to see our youth volunteers not just volunteering, but becoming part of the change they want to see around them.

❤️🤝Erin, thank you for seeing the opportunity and making it happen. You are already making a difference. ❤️👏🏾

This is why youth involvement matters.
