Aberdeen Amateur Radio Society was founded in 1946 and has brought together amateur radio enthusiasts from across the north-east of Scotland ever since. Meetings are held in Aberdeen on most Thursday evenings throughout the year and a warm welcome awaits any prospective new members who are interested in joining us. The radio has been turned off, key and microphone away. It's pack up time and the end of the GB2TSA special event callsign.

Thank you to anyone who passed by the shack to say hello and thank you to all that called back to us on the air. QSL cards will be processed and sorted so be proud to hold this special rare QSL card for Tallships in Aberdeen.

Now less than 10 days to go! Aberdeen Amateur radio society are very excited to announce that we will be holding a special events station from a portable location, Walker Park. The society will be on the air on HF and VHF with CW, SSB, FM and potentially more!
We are inviting all members of the public to come and see us so we can show you what the hobby is all about. We cannot wait to see you there!
For radio amateurs making contacts we will be doing special event QSL cards in E and postal format! Please check our GB2TSA QRZ page for more info.

How long is a piece of string?

Tonight was all about getting ready! Ready for what you may ask? Tallships! Aberdeen is hosting many Tallships from all over the place in July. AARS is planning to mark the event with a special callsign station. More information will be published once we get closer to the event!
