Around 40 children have been referred for warm coats so far 🥶

Our Snowdrop Café happens every first and third Wednesday of the month to provide a friendship and wellbeing space for those with palliative health conditions and their carers ☕️

Includes:
-Free refreshments 🍪
-Relaxing games, jigsaws, crafts 🧩
-Lovely volunteers to chat to 🤝

Every term we run the Flourish Project in schools across Aberdeen. 📚️

We give young people the tools to develop healthy self esteem, as well as mental and emotional wellbeing. The goal is that every young person feels empowered to “be the real me!” 💛

In 2025-2026, a further 12 groups undertook the project across youth groups, primary schools and academies, meaning almost 1,000 children have gone through the programme with us to date! 👏

We are so grateful for our amazing volunteering team that make Flourish happen and impact the lives of young people in our local community! 🙌

Exciting news!! 📣

The King's Community Foundation has been awarded a grant from the Scottish Government's Just Transition Fund (Community and Social Enterprise) to enable essential improvement works at The Bridge Centre, Torry!

With the support of local architectural practice Mwclubb, this grant will fund the retrofit of the centre's community hall - creating a healthy, comfortable, and energy-efficient community space for year-round use.

This project is one of four 'Demonstrator' projects across Aberdeen funded by the JTF 2026 round, together with the Old Torry Community Centre, Bonnymuir Green and Earth & Worms, aiming to help local residents and building contractors better understand what "retrofit" is, how local homes can become warmer, cheaper to heat, healthier and better prepared for the future, and how retrofit can support skills development and create jobs in the construction sector.

The grant also includes the JTF Homeowner Support Fund to help local residents in fuel poverty or on benefits to access subsidised retrofit assessments for their homes and information on other funding available. This will be managed by the North East Scotland Retrofit Hub (NESFIT).
