Free, confidential Loss and Bereavement Support for Children and Young People up to age 18 in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

A free, confidential service for children and young people up to age 18 in Aberdeen City & Shire who have been affected by bereavement and/or significant loss. We aim to help children and young people to deal with loss, change and bereavement in a healthy and positive way, by using therapeutic tools and strategies tailored to the individual child and their age and stage of development. This may be

one to one, sibling or family support. Sometimes group support is more appropriate and can be offered as a one day session, or several sessions spread over a period of time.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on the impact of bereavement on children and young people.

Understanding their grief is the first step - but listening, supporting, and being there when it matters most is what truly makes a difference. Together, we can turn awareness into meaningful action and ensure no child has to face loss alone.

As part of Mindful May, MISS are hosting a compassionate wellbeing event dedicated to remembrance, reflection, and support for anyone affected by early pregnancy loss.

This event has been created as a safe and welcoming space for individuals and families to come together, honour the little lives that are always remembered, and find comfort in connection with others who may share similar experiences. Through gentle creativity.

We have some exciting news!!
After the success of our last quiz night we are pleased to be hosting another on Saturday the 12th of September 2026 . If you would like to buy tickets for night please contact us. We are also looking for donations for our quiz night raffle. So if you can support us in any way please reach out. Looking forward to a fun filled family Quiz night.

We are delighted with the money raised at our most recent bag pack at Marks & Spencer's in Bridge of Don before Christmas, where a total of £923.08 was raised. Thank you to everyone who took part volunteering your time and those who donated money. We really appreciate the support.
